![]() The only mode really going in the competetive direction is the training room, and tho it's great, newbies don't know how to use it. It's not the worst thing in the world to look things up, but why shouldn't it be easier? Fighting games aren't niche because of their gameplay, but how they are packaged. I'm not denying that, but it's no enough. Grottowalker eredeti hozzászólása:we live in a digital age. If you posted any topics asking to learn about how to play the game you would get tones of help via tips/people posting some of the toutourial videos that are already online. ![]() Here you are posting on the community hub, we are a group of people that care about the game. the arcade mode is bit short but really when there is a game mode like tresure mode then i could care less about the lackluster arcade mode. you can even place the move you are trying to learn at the top of the screen so its constantly there for refrence for when you get it down. not only does it let you check out your move list, but it also comes with some premade combos and the ablity to check out the timeing of a move with a demo of the move. There are tones of youtube videos on infomation about how to play tekken from the basics to more advanced styles While the game does not have a toutorial on advanced techniques nothing is stopping you from doing some research. Playing with to people in one private lobby is unbearable. "loading massacre in online play", I was talking about the unnecerssary loading times. "If you are not interested in appreciating stuff like frame data, wake up and cancels and spatial positioning then tekken isnt the game for all gamer types for sure." I do, many do, but why do we have to get resources for that somwhere else and not in the game? Like I said, it's not about handholding, it's about being transparent. ![]() Stick with it all, it really is worth it. If you are not interested in appreciating stuff like frame data, wake up and cancels and spatial positioning then tekken isnt the game for all gamer types for sure.Īnd when it comes to 'online play being a massacre' you have to remember there are tekken players out there that have been playing it for over 20 years in one form or another, so dont let losses frustrate your game or make you leave after only investing such a small amount of time as its the only way to learn. The game is not imbalanced it just requires lots of knowledge and learning that a portion of gamers are not prepared to put in to enjoy the game at its fullest. as opposed to a lot of new games that spoon feed and hand hold you every instruction of where to go and what to do, reward you at every action and also be made so that is impossible to not complete it fully in less than 30 hours. Having such a variety in the roster allows for multiple playstyles that require exploring on your own. Tekken 7 and SFV are not the most played fighting games because they are the best, but because they are the most well known.ĭisplatcher eredeti hozzászólása:This is why you only get a certain type of players that stick with tekken, it is complex, it does require you to put the hours in to learn a small slice of it, it is frustrating but yields so much reward with the effort. Too many people are blinded by nostalgia and the franchise as a whole. It can't be real that Skullgirls, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ indie game, and first fighting game from it's studio has the best tutorial in the whole genre. I'm not a fan of Netherrealm Games, because I don't like the core game, but at least they try to bring the genre forward. "Never change a running system", but fighting games aren't there where they could be. SFV took the wrong step and dumbed down the core game, Tekken 7 on the other hand, did nothing. Because the game doesn't even teach the basics of the game. I'm invested in the FGC about 3-4 years now, many others are too, but what is with all the newcomers? Why do you think we get so many threads like "tactic x is unfair because of y". It's not a bad fighting game by any means, I would definitely say it's better than SFV, but it is still not what I want from a AAA fighting game. No tutorial (story is barely teaching you the controls) in a game so complex, lacking singleplayer content and loading massacre in online play. After playing a bit (45 hours) I came to the conclusion that Tekken 7 is almost as bad as SFV.
